Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror + Live Score

Experience the otherworldly silent classic 'Nosferatu' (1922) on the big screen, with a live score accompaniment on stage by Hugo Max. Hugo Max: Hugo performs live improvised scores to silent films on solo viola, regularly soundtracking screenings at London’s Prince Charles Cinema and Picturehouse Cinemas across the UK. In 2024 he presented his first nationwide tour accompanying a selection of classic silent horrors and thrillers. Delving behind-the-scenes of his unique process scoring silent cinema, Hugo has featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘The Arts Mix’, Hippcast and BBC Cambridgeshire’s ‘Meet the Maker’. He has lectured on improvisation and multidisciplinary practice at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
